Brief Description about the Organization :

Maharana Pratap Adhyayan Evam Jan Kalyan Sansthan (MPS) is an NGO working in all major Districts of Rajasthan from 1999 as voluntary organization. Its Head office is Located in Jaipur (Rajasthan), MPS has been registered under Rajasthan Societies Registration Act – 1958. Its affiliated units viz. Rajasthan Chhatra Vikas Sangh and Yuva Vikas Sangh were functional since 1985 and 1986 respectively and after the registration of the organization; these units were formally designated as its ancillary units. Presently organization is engaged in grassroot development work, networking with NGOs and advocacy.

The great warrior and historic icon Maharana Pratap is the greatest symbol of inspiration for Maharana Pratap Adhyayan Avam Jan Kalyan Sansthan. As Maharana Pratap strongly advocated for the right of equality, justice and maintaining the social dignity of every common man. Apart from it, he had a strong commitment for social & communal harmony. The organization too believes in similar ideology and carrying forward the message of social & communal harmony. In accordance with the present day scenario the organization is endeavouring its efforts for the social and economic upliftment of the poor, downtrodden and weaker sections of the society.

As we all know thinking together is an “idea” and working together is “success” – Maharana Pratap Sansthan than thus believes in the ideology of “working together”. The organization has been carrying out various activities related to development. The basic aim of every activity is to bring about a meaningful and positive change in the life and economic condition of the ultimate beneficiary for whom it is aimed.

Overall Objectives of MPS

• Imparting education to Children of Slum, Organizing Seminar & Workshop, and Coaching Centre for administrative services, and Book Bank for poor students.
• HIV\AIDS Awareness Programmes, health check-up Camps, Population Control & Family Welfare.
• Work on rural development, health, environment, water quality management, watershed Development & management, agriculture, consumer rights and human rights and public welfare activities.
• Livelihood promotion, skill development, market development and cluster development.
• Work for women development by preserving their rights and ensuring that they get justice and undertake activities regarding education, health and other activities necessary for their self reliance.
• Awareness generation on environment protection & pollution control
• Sports Activities & Workshop, Yoga & Preksha Dhyan, Cultural activities.
• Research & Evaluation especially in tribal area.

MPS is working under following Core Programme Strategies :

Organization’s activities rotate around the people’s priorities and need. Community Mobilization ,I.E.C., Capacity Enhancement, Civil Society Building, Promotion of livelihood opportunity, Networking & Alliance, Advocacy & lobbying for policy reform and systems accountability, Collaboration in innovative and special Programs, managing Change (Context, Policy, Structures) are part of our mandate.

The organization enjoys a good reputation amongst the various Govt. Departments, Ministries and in the social circuits as well. The organization has the distinguished privilege of association of eminent people from different walks of life. The organization works under the guidance of the advisory board & executive committee. The organization has a wide spread network of dedicated volunteers & activists and a team of functionaries who guide and encourage them to take up any challenge and to meet the targeted goals.

The organization is dedicated to economic and social upliftment of the poor, downtrodden, women, widows, handicapped and other economically and socially deprived people of the society.

  • Total Sanitation Campaign and Swajaldhara.
  • Urban RCH Centre for Medical Facilities and Services to Slum Areas.
  • Development and Promotion of Aari-Tari / Zardozi Cluster.
  • Development and Promotion of “Brass Carving Cluster” through Self Help Groups.
  • Medical Mobile Unit for Medical facilities and Health services to the villagers.
  • Targeted Interventions programme in Migrants.
  • I.E.C. Activities on Water Resources under NRDWPQM(CCDU).
